CLASS STRUCTURE

Our instructional classes are designed upon a principle of gradual resistance. We guide students through the process of learning, practicing, and integrating new skills. Each class begins with detailed technical instruction, covering fundamental concepts and movements behind each technique. Students drill these techniques on a cooperative partner to familiarize themselves with proper mechanics. Technical drilling is followed by situational training, during which students begin applying techniques against limited resistance under controlled circumstances. Situational training helps build comfort and confidence with techniques. Each class ends with live training, allowing students to practice their technique against real resistance. Escalating resistance offers a safe and effective method of skill building. Beginner students are strongly encouraged to attend the technical instruction portion of class; first-day students are required to attend the instructional portion on their first visit.
